Tamy began skating in learn-to-skate classes 8 years ago and fell in love with figure skating. She is a US Figure Skating Qualifying Coach and has been coaching for four years. She continues to be both an active skater and the mom of a competitive figure skater. Her passion for skating has led her to compete in several competitions including Adult Midwestern Sectionals and be a 2019 Team USA International Adult Theatre on Ice competitor. She has passed adult tests in Moves in the Field, Freeskate, and Patterned ice dance. Her coaching focus is on beginner skaters of all ages. Since she learned to skate as an adult, she has a special interest and love for coaching adult skaters.
