Beth Brown has coached at Spirit Ice Arena for 17 years. In that time, she has coached and performed in all Spirit Ice Arena ice shows, coached skaters through Junior level Moves in the Field and Intermediate FreeSkate testing, and coached competitive skaters at the Intermediate FreeSkate level.

Beth started skating lessons when she was 10 years old and trained for 8 years first under ISIA programs at Northbrook, Illinois and then, Galleria Houston. She also trained and tested under USFSA at Sharpstown/Bellerive, Houston for 4 years. Her coaches included one of ISIA Founding Board members, Einar Jonland, Canadian Junior Nationals medalist, Ice Follies show skater and US Master Rated Coach, Jim Reid, and US Olympic alternate and Worlds figure skater, Dawn Glab. Beth passed ISIA Freestyle 7 and USFSA Intermediate Freeskate test, 3rd USFSA Figures test, Pre Dance tests and competed as high as the Juvenile level at Southwestern Regionals.

Beth has a BBA degree in Marketing and a Minor in Spanish from Southern Methodist University. In addition, she earned a Blinn Teach Special Ed certification and taught Elementary Special Ed in CSISD for 13 years.

Beth and her husband Bob have 5 sons between them and a cat named Buster. They skate together on the weekends and they played Novice Hockey for 10 years.
