Looking to get your young ones into a new hobby that facilitates learning and team-building? Try out youth hockey! Spirit Ice Arena hosts teams for Mighty Mites (6 & under), Mites (8 & under), Squirts (10 & under), and Pee Wee (12 & under) age groups. 

Youth Hockey is a wonderful way to help your child build strong character, learn how to work on a team, and to promote healthy habits. It is also a great avenue in order to facilitate bonding between parents and children-- you will have so much to talk about at the dinner table after games! At Spirit Ice Arena, we want to promote a safe and fun environment for your child to learn in. They will not only learn how to play an increasingly popular sport, but many life lessons as well! 2018-2019 Regular Season Registration Information

2018-2019 Spirit Ice Arena Regular Season

 *Please note, a $50 Late fee will be assessed to any registrations received after August 31st 2018.

Players in the Mite division must be 8 and under. Squirt division must be 10 and under. Players in the Pee Wee division must be 12 and under. 

Current USA Hockey membership is required. 

Squirt and Pee Wee practices will be on Wednesdays 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm and Fridays 5:45 pm – 6:45 pm and.

Mite practices will be on Mondays 5:45 pm – 6:45 pm and Thursdays 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm. September 5 & 8 will be evaluation skates for the purpose of evaluating our new and returning Mites.

The games will be in College Station and Houston and parents will be responsible for travel to away games. 

Games will start the weekend of September 24 with 1 game per weekend on average. 

Squirts/Pee Wees will have a total of 19 regular season games, with 2 playoffs games with their season ending on March 4/5.

Mites will have a total of 21 regular season games, with their season ending on March 4/5.

Players in every division are required to wear full equipment (Skates, Pants, Cup, Shin Pads, Shoulder Pads, Elbow Pads, Gloves, Helmet, Neck Guard, Jersey, and Stick) to participate in the practices and games.

Refusal to conform and enforce these guidelines may subject a player, team or coach to suspension. All age divisions will play no-check.
